Dane Bowers will be putting in an appearence at Mood this Wednesday (3rd February). He is supposed to be on stage singing a selection of his songs.

Drinks offers are on, including £1 shots, £2 Corona and WKD, £6 huge fishbowls.

Doors open at 20:30 and you can party until 3am!

Mood in The Gate are having a Bavarian theme night this Friday. This could be a cool night, with lots of beer as you would expect The other things which are on offer are Frankfurters, tug of war, and other various themed antics. A Yard of ale contest would also be great.

Tomorrow, Thursday 20th August Mood are having a party for the A Level Students. They are saying its the biggest A Levels results party in Newcastle on the night.

With drinks starting at only 90p and 2 rooms offering RnB and Hip Hop or Chart and cheese it could be a great party atmosphere if they get the crowd right.

Mood in The Gate in Newcastle are having a special UV night! They will be giving away glow in the dark paint and UV like things such as glow sticks, going back to the old rave days.

Entry is £4 on the door, with drinks being on offer as usual at through the week prices, VK Flavours for only £1, £1.80 for double Smirnoff + Mixer.

The night is tomorrow (This Wednesday) and the clubbing festivities begin at 22.00.

Music on offer is likely to be party choons etc. in the normal Mood bar fashion. Since it is basically an old skool rave theme, lets hope they play some old skool rave.

Get yourself to Mood this Wednesday

We were in Mood Bar @ The Gate a few weeks back, on a Friday night. Fridays are never as busy as a Saturday, but it seems for Mood that its getting worse and worse as the nights go by.

A few years ago it was great, the place was packed, queue to get in, good atmosphere, an all round good bar. Since then, it has got worse and worse, going ever so slightly down hill with each weekend that passes. Fast forward to March 2009, and the place looked empty. The downstairs in Mood is quite a big space, so when its not full it really makes the place look empty.

Going up the stiars to the RnB club it looks busier than downstairs, but it is much quieter than it once was. I remember going when they had a doorman on the stairs, only allowing a certain number of people to go up as it was packed. These days there is no doorman on the stairs, as there is no need for one. The RnB room plays more or less the same drab tunes, they really need a good DJ up there to play some fresh music aswell as classics and club bangers. Instead they have someone with a laptop uninspired playing the same old commercial radio edits, you might aswell stay at home.

So where have the mood people gone to? Will Mood get better or worse?
